Editorial policy
How we research, write, fact-check, update, and correct everything we publish.

Our standards
Every page on NoFap Legends aims to be accurate, useful, honest about uncertainty, and free of shame. We write for people who want practical help, and we treat sexual health and habit change as topics that deserve care.
- Accuracy. Factual and scientific claims are checked against the sources we cite. We don’t invent studies, statistics, experts, or testimonials.
- Evidence-awareness. We distinguish established findings, promising but limited research, personal experience, and traditions or values. Disputed benefits are never presented as facts.
- Shame-free tone. We never describe masturbation as inherently unhealthy or immoral, and we never use fear or guilt as motivation.
- Practical value. Every guide includes concrete steps, exercises, or checklists a reader can use the same day.
- Inclusivity. Our brand is bold and direct, and our guidance is written for everyone.
How articles are made
- Research. We identify what readers are trying to learn and collect relevant research, health guidance, and expert consensus.
- Drafting. We write a draft structured around the reader’s real questions. We use software tools, including AI writing assistants, to help with research and drafting. A human editor is responsible for every page we publish.
- Fact-checking. Each factual claim is compared against its source. If a source does not clearly support a claim, the claim is softened, labeled as uncertain, or removed.
- Editing. We edit for clarity, tone, and usefulness, and we check that health-related content includes appropriate cautions and routes to professional help.
- Publication and review. Each article shows its publication date, its last review date, and its sources.
Health and medical content
Our content is educational. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We avoid claims that abstinence cures depression, anxiety, erectile dysfunction, or any other condition, and we encourage readers to see a doctor or licensed mental health professional for symptoms that worry them. Articles that touch on health include a visible health note.
Stories
Stories on this site are fictional illustrative stories unless they are explicitly marked as verified, permission-based real submissions. Fictional stories are labeled at the top and bottom of the page and are never presented as testimonials or proof of results.
Reviews and updates
We review every article at least once a year, and sooner when new research appears, a source is retracted, or a reader reports a problem. When we make a meaningful change, we update the “last reviewed” date, and the “updated” date when the content changes.
Corrections
If you believe something is inaccurate, out of date, or misleading, please report it with the page address and, if possible, a source. We review every correction request. When we correct a factual error, we update the article and note the change where it matters to the reader.
Independence
We don’t accept payment for coverage. If we introduce advertising or affiliate links in the future, they will be clearly labeled, and they will never affect our editorial judgment.
